BROADSTAIRS

Situated between Margate and Ramsgate, Broadstairs is one of Thanet's seaside resorts, known as the "Jewel in Thanet's crown".

Well it was until 250 Brixton children and 50 adults descended on it!!! Yes today was the day several staff thought it would be a good idea to take the whole school on a 2 hour coach trip to the seaside. (several staff didn't think so and have left the beach with palpitations and stomach ulcers!!!!). I cheated and drove down with O so I definitely had the easy option.

However the children were extremely well behaved and absolutely loved the whole experience. Many had never been before. The panic was so many children in the sea even though they were in small groups they just didn't get the danger and staff were constantly counting heads!

TODAYS SMILE: home safe and sound despite missing my M25 turn off and nearly had to go through the Dartford Tunnel....aaarrgghh!!!
