Fallow Deer

Most of the Fallow Deer in the Arnside/Silverdale area live in Dallam Park at Milnthorpe. But a small group live "wild" in an area near the RSPB Challan Woods. We were walking in the early evening in the new Landscape Trust reserve at Coldwell Meadow. We must have been downwind as I was able to get near enough for the zoom lens to capture this shot. Fifteen seconds later they were gone.
The Meadow is being developed as a traditional flower rich Hay Meadow but it will take some years for this to be achieved.
