Noises from the SW Front

Fog over Sausalito

Out on SF Bay, sailing in circles, waiting for it to get dark enough for fireworks. As we stood in the queue, with our teeth chattering in the cold, cold wind. We were reminded of the Mark Twain quote: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". We're inside for now, where it's warm, looking out in amazement at the people who have made the whole trip so far, outside. I think they're nuts, but I daresay, in a wee while, when it's darker, and just a wee bit colder, we'll be joining them to ooh and aah at fireworks as if we were seeing them for the first time. Happy 4th of July.
