"A" For Effort!

Independence Day today. Always a bit of a weird day for us, being both British and American.

Unusually brilliant weather for July as a result of Hurricane Arthurs. Instead of the usual steamy, sticky, uncomfortable 90 degree, 100+ heat index, humid, buggy July weather, it was a cool 75, clear and sunny with a nice breeze.

We had a couple of friends over to share a traditional 4th July meal of bruschetta, greek grilled lamb, tzatziki, greek salad and pita, and berries an sorbet for dessert.

Here are my decorations for the day. It's the thought that counts :)
