Tour de France 2014
Today started early - half two to be precise! We wanted to be as close to the finish line in Harrogate as possible, so we got up early and headed there, arriving at about quarter past five. By half five we had found our spot, just next to the finish line and we set up our chairs. Yes, we brought the biggest camping chairs that you have ever seen but they were an absolute triumph. The next eleven hours (before the riders appeared) passed surprisingly quickly and when we were told that there were 10km left to go, we packed the chairs away and took our photography positions behind the barrier. Sadly, Cav didn't mange to win the stage, crashing a few hundred metres from the line. I decided to use him for my Blip rather than the romantic arms aloft image of the winning rider Kittel because sometimes you don't have to win, to win.
