Athens Day 4
A full on day today, despite not waking until noon. It was like along sketch from a comedy.
We decided to go to a local market close to where J lives. She said I would like it ... It was amazing, all the senses were enlightened, sight, smell, taste, touch and the wonderful banter between the traders and the banter spreading through the greet announcing there was a photographer with the today. I captured many wonderful images from this morning, which will provide many lovely memories.
As J has lived here for almost 7 years, I have visited most years with or without Munckins 1' I have many photographs of Athen, however this trip I wanted to capture the side many don't see.
So this afternoon, we walked a very long way 18, 657 steps to be exact along Flisvos to the marina to see how the other half live. On the way back which was early evening, I saw some young lads jumping into the ocean from a high ledge, so obviously I stopped and took their picture, but my friend asked them if I could take their picture and I got them all to jump in at the same time so I could get it, in hindsight I should have had a delay. But... It produced a great image.
Tonight's Blip though is of the wonderful sunsets here. This is taken just as we were entering one of my favourite Tavernas to dine on the sand.
It's late here, but after a great food and wine, I'm off to play with light on top of a road bridge..
