Le Grand Depart Stage 1

What a fab day!
The kids loved picnicking in the middle of the A65. Everyone were in high spirits being chatty and friendly.
The bikes were beautiful coming through!!!
Warm sun! :)

After a walk around town to soak up some atmosphere (and get ice cream) we went back home where everyone fell asleep apart from Maffew, Anna and I! Seeing that Phil had fallen asleep still holding the newly started Lego model in his hand and Matthew looking a bit lost, I happily stepped in and helped him build his new Lego. It kept us busy and let everyone else sleep for a good hour n a half (or more once you added in a drink and chocolate snack!) Anna sat and devised a treasure hunt for everyone for when they all woke up!

Once they all finally surfaced we travelled to Gran and Granpops for fish and chips while watching the highlights of 'Le Tour'. And finally we got to do the treasure hunt!! :)
