This is the crane that was being born on 01 July. Some sense of scale can be judged by looking back and seeing how big the blue A frame is. This crane is on tracks and can carry a suspended load. Some idea of the power can be realised from the size of the hook. This is a basic rig for this crane. It can lift heavier by having an extra A frame fitted to lift super-ballast at the rear or it can lift in excess of four times this height by having more jib fitted, either with or without a hinge to allow reaching over obstacles.
