African sunset

Time ran away with us today so I didn't get a chance to get The Boy to help me with today's Blip together. Instead you get a photo of the new piece of art that arrived yesterday for the livingroom. It appears I can't cope with pictures that don't look level. The Boy levelled it off perfectly but because the fire place is ever so slightly sloping, we ended up having to put the picture parrallel to the fireplace instead.

We wanted something with reds and oranges to match the rug. Having had a fantastic holiday to South Africa in 2008 and The Boy's parents being based out there, it felt quite fitting to get an African Sunset. We've also now decided that art for the guest room will wait until we finally manage our trip to Iceland and then we'll use one of our own photos from it.

This evening I sat and waited for a heating engineer to come and quote for the boiler. He never showed up but I've been assured he'll be round first thing tomorrow. Doesn't get back the evening I wasted waiting for him though does it.
