If the cap fits...

The first stage of the Tour de France rode off today from Leeds and ended up in Harrogate. I seem to be one of the few who weren't there but I did watch part of it on the telly.

I was particularly impressed that the 41 year old Jens Voigt from Germany managed to take the Polka-Dot jersey for the best climber of the day. Don't expect to see much more of him for the rest of the tour. As he said "At the end of three weeks of racing the Tour de France, it'll only be a small episode but it's my episode."

Well done to him anyway.
