The merchants of Venice

The wee man woke up early this morning, which wasn't a particular surprise given that we all shared a hotel room last night.

After checking out of the hotel, we checked out the local farmers market in Calabasas. To be honest, I wasn't expecting too much but we left with three bags of delicious food, veg, and the best coffee we've had in the US so far!

On the way back to Carlsbad, we drove through Topanga Canyon, along the PCH, passed Malibu, Santa Monica and into the heart of Venice where we whiled away a couple of hours, strolling along the promenade, people watching and enjoying a late brunch.
