Hassan II Mosque (Casablanca)
Partly built on water, one of the largest mosques in the world and allowing tourist visits, even now during Ramadan. It is a marvelous piece of architecture and craftsmanship, accommodating 25'000 people inside and another 80'000 more outside.
It is not that dark inside as the picture may suggest and also the reflection has nothing to do with water. It comes from the marble floor in the foreground, which a bit more in the back is covered with a carpet.
We then had a relaxing day and towards the evening we went to a trendy restaurant for the Ftour, the traditional fast breaking at sunset. Everyone was allowed to serve from a incredible rich buffet, but then waiting until signal to start was given.
