Visit

Today we left our house and Mr M to our 5 American guests and headed south to Scarborough to visit (grand)parents.

This summer is particularly intense for me this year. There's a lot on and the pressure on holiday time is tighter than usual. Anyway, we wanted to come and see grandma and grandad and now is the best time to come.

So here we are.

The train journey took an hour longer than it should due to a non-specific engine fault, but the girls kept themselves entertained by either colouring or sleeping. We bought some beautiful flowers at York station and got here at tea time. So tea was duly procured in a local chippie and consumed greedily by the boating lake in Peasholm Park before a walk to the north beach.


I love Scarborough :)
