Confined to barracks
Frustrating weekend :-(
Ear-ache in both ears with some vertigo - no fun. Not felt much like venturing out other than to walk the dog.
Have at least managed to watch lots of football and now (the somewhat delayed) F1 from Silverstone. A couple of hours this morning playing with the bellows and f1.8 50mm lens I got last week. Got to catch up with the Tour-De-Yorkshire later to get some of the scenery….
Technical stuff (so I remember next time I come to do some macro) - This image is an 11 shot focus stack (using helicon focus) and is about 4x actual size using the bellows (not sure what the extension is - probably around 120mm with the lens just 2cm from the flower), about f11 at 100th sec 200 ISO, backlit with sun through the conservatory windows and with flash at 1/64th power and radio release, cable release on the camera and using a lid from a foil tray bent into a curve over the flower to form a rudimentary flash diffuser. Some curves applied in PS to accentuate the tiny parts in the centre of the flower (am sure they'll have some technical name..)
