Auchentorlie Woods

A glorious day, and deserving of a long walk in the hills high above Dumbarton. Since it was so warm, we left both older dogs at home. You can see Daisy ahead in this picture, as clearly we were not going fast enough up the hot dusty path for her liking! She braved a wee toe-dip in the Black Linn reservoir at the top, but got spooked by something she saw in the water (a fish?) and would venture no deeper.

We went to The Boathouse at Cameron House for dinner with friends tonight. That is how the other half live!! Lovely food too, and the best of company.
