Traditional Folk Dancing in Cilipi

Every Sunday in summer in the charming little village of Cilipi the young men and women put on their traditional costumes and perform some of the folk dances of this region of Croatia to the accompaniment of traditional musical instruments.

The women's traditional costumes are very colourful and in a society which was dominated by men they wore different headgear depending on their marital status in order to give the men of these times the correct information.
