Loch Voil by kayak

Taken very carefully as no floatation device on my phone, but irresistible for the geotag, this is taken from my kayak from the middle of Loch Voil, looking towards Balquhidder.

Growing up in the the middle of England and about as far from kayaking opportunities as you could get in the 70s I always fancied it but never managed to try until 20 years ago in my mid 30s when I took a couple of courses and acquired two kayaks. I've never really done anything much beyond lochs, slow rivers and the gentlest of white water, but it's always a pleasant way to spend an hour or two. Even a few hundred yards from the shore in loch Voil feels like another world
