Sore thumb!

This may look fairly insignificant but it was a bite made by a seagull as it stole my roll, just as I was putting it to my mouth last Friday. I was sitting along the seafront and it swooped from behind right into my face and bit my thumb. I was pleased it was my thumb and not my face but was furious it had stolen my lunch! These birds have become a real nuisance along the seafront mainly due to the public feeding them. They no longer go out to sea for their food but hover, waiting to steal food from anywhere they can along the beach. I really wish people would see that we are doing the gulls no favour by feeding them and no favour to ourselves either. I'm just pleased it was me and not of my grandchildren or anyone else's child either.
