High wires
Honestly this is a lot scarier than it looks! Talia took me to a High Ropes adventure course for a belated birthday present and it was amazing!
Early start to collect India from Talias and get her to a party for 9.15am. India was shattered but full of excitement about last nights Jessie J concert. Talia said they all danced and danced and got home for 11.30pm. I delivered her to Nic and Gillian for a day at the zoo party.
Mark collected Heidi from my parents and took her to Jess for a big girls afternoon at a nearby street festival. I love that my god daughters can take my girls out for a treat.
Talia and I set off about an hour later for the 80 minute drive to the High Ropes adventure course, we had to negotiate the highest continuous ropes course in the UK, the course starts 7m above the ground and traverses its way through the forest until it reaches its highest point 21m above the ground. We did a low practice course learning how to transfer the cows tails between the safety cables and then set off. It was so high and super wobbly, I got through the first couple of stages chanting 'I feel sick, I feel sick' over and over then progressed to swearing and finally just chatting with Tals. It ended with a huge zip wire which was so cool. A most excellent afternoon.
I collected a tired happy India at 5pm who had had a great day, Heidi was delivered back full of ice cream, bearing gifts, sporting a hair braid and a rainbow painted on her cheek. All evidence of a most excellent afternoon. Harriet, a vet school friend who lives far in the north of Scotland was at the airport for an hour and a half so I met her for a cuppa catch up. I miss her! I came home, put the dinner in the oven and took the dogs out for an hour. I love these light nights, got home 9.30pm and Mr.W had just polished off mine and his dinner. He was very grumpy that one grunted out sorry did not suffice.
