Colorful insect

I have no idea what it is, but was grateful that it stayed put while I took some photos. Not easy, because I had Riley's leash looped around my wrist and also needed him to keep still.

Lovely warm, breezy day. I got quite a bit of my chores done after church, and Mr M spent almost the entire day on the tractor, mowing the edges of the fields.
