The Road to Algorfa

I've managed a couple of challenges in this image and still kept to my principle that my blip has to be meaningful to this day for me.

Needing a mono image to fit the theme of Roads (set for today's Mono Monday) I thought I'd capture this sculpture which is about a mile from our villa at the entrance to the golf and residential complex, La Finca. It is a fountain but rarely have I passed it when the water has been flowing.

We use this distinctive sculpture on the roundabout to guide our holiday tenants in....turn right at the Golf Ball - you can't miss it!

I was heading to Alicante to pick up my husband and son from the airport. They travelled separately from me due to my great 'faux-pas' with dates of holiday v Grand Prix! The image shows the road to the motorway (and Alicante) reflected in my Kindle (my prop for DDW's July Challenge) with the road to Algorfa viewed through the sculpture, so managing the Road theme too and converting it to mono although I would have needed a very long exposure to get half a dozen cars in the picture!

Our villa is vey quiet, although punctuated with snores at the moment from husband's siesta. He's had a tough weekend!
