Le Tour Stage One

I didn't think I would make it to see the Tour pass through Yorkshire - which seemed a pity since it is my home, and a once-in-a-lifetime's event in all probability. Not that I follow cycling particularly, but it has been rather fun seeing all the yellow bicycles and bunting and jerseys popping up all over the county in recent weeks. Still, I realised that, finishing my on-call stint on time, I could just make it up to Hawes. And I did. It was all really rather exciting!
