After Constable

G's parents came to visit today, so we took them, and my Mum, to Dedham for a lovely lunch before walking over to Flatford to visit the site of The Hay Wain. It's changed a little since Constable's time. A welcome addition to the scene is the National Trust gift-shop, where we bought a beautiful woollen rug for a bargain price. The morning rain showers were over by the time we walked, and we had a lovely stroll across the water meadows.

Despite both feeling knackered when we got back, we dragged ourselves out for a cycle, and with no route planned, we clocked up 32 miles through some beautiful countryside.
