Walk the walk

This is Church Walk, a short alleyway between two main roads in the centre of town.
It's the place to go if you want a hairdresser, or a tattoo, some quirky clothing or an ethnic café. As you can see, it's quite narrow.
So why is it suited to this week's Mono Monday subject - Road ?
Because in mediaeval times, this little thoroughfare was part of the road from our town to the next small town.
