The Queen Mothers pelargonium
This is the pelargonium that we bought for the bargain price of £1 from the Castle of Mey , the most Northerly Castle on the British mainland on our way to the ferry. It is actually one from the Queen Mothers collection taken from cuttings from the original plant. We chatted to the friendly gardener who said we could have it for £1 instead of the £3 it was meant to be as it was nt in it's peak condition and at the end of flowering. He showed us how to take cuttings to get a few more plants too. However not only does it have this bloom but it also has several other buds ready to flower so I'm pretty pleased, just hope I do nt kill it !
More gardening today. Mike cut the grass and what a difference it makes. Mike treated me to a long handled weed remover to remove weeds from the cracks in the pavement, it works a treat, who needs diamonds ;)
A few showers today but mainly sunny !
