Peachtree Street Atlanta

Peachtree Street is the main street going through Atlanta. It is approximately 37 Miles and is home to the 4th of July Peachtree Road Race. Much of Atlanta History occurred on or around Peachtree Street. There is a controvesy about whether the trail that carved the road was originally called Pitchtree, another name for pine tree that are abundant. I am told there are no living peach trees on the road, although we do call Georgia the Peach State and we do grow peaches!!!!
