Mon-Day Out

Sunny day, as you can see. Busy but in a slow way. Getting ready. Countdown started long ago but now is the time to dirty one's hands with the nitty gritty and start ticking off the items on the mental checklist.

Shot taken in Breda. There are many of these buildings and they range in date from 1875 to 1910, which makes their style very recognizable. Breda is very lucky not to have been bombed during the war, unlike Rotterdam, which lost its entire city centre as early as 1940. There is actually a walking city tour in Rotterdam which focuses on the fire that raged after the bombs fell. I should make it a point to join it one of these days/years. It might make me actually like Rotterdam more. On the other hand, some things simply can't be forced.

Speaking of Rotterdam ... last load of marks should be delivered by tomorrow. Very doable activity.

Edit: Rather nasty-seeming incident just now here, and I apologize. If you chanced upon it, sorry. If you did not, well then, good for you.
