The other side of the curtain

Went to the press launch today for "Cats" at The London Palladium. The show is returning to London in December for a short run. Andrew Lloyd Webber, Trevor Nunn (Director) and Gillian Lynne (Choreographer) talked about how they're re-working parts of the show and then some of the cats/cast gave a 10 minute performance.

Not a very good shot but its interesting to see the view from the stage. I know artistes often refer to it as an intimate venue but I've never understood that because when you're in the auditorium it always feels vast and sweeping (the capacity is just over 2,200 seats) but from the stage it really does have a totally different look - very compact, and both circles feel really close.
