New shoots

Walking around our area today I came across this shrub exhibiting some new shoots and it reminded me that although we are in mid winter here in Sydney, there is always something happening in the gardens.

While Sydney does not experience dramatic changes in the seasons, it can be quite extreme in summer and winter.
