Echium

No it's not a Christmas tree (5 months 13 days to go, not that I'm counting), but an Echium flower that's headed skywards in our garden. These plants have fabulous purple flowers and come from the Canary Islands. They are bi-annuals and most years don't survive the winter in the UK.
