Shenandoah joy

We had another beautiful day with our cousin visiting from Italy. What a gift it is to see the U.S. with her eyes. We visited our son at camp on his day off and had a beautiful hike in the Shenandoah National Park to these waterfalls -so peaceful, fun, and beautiful.

This is his last summer working at the Quaker camp, and this may be our last time there. The camp is a special place where children learn to live in community, know they are loved, and push themselves to do things they didn't know they were capable of. I'm so glad our kids had the opportunity to experience these camps. The end of this summer will truly be the end of a wonderful chapter in our lives. It was bittersweet to drive away.
