Puppet Wagon

Every Tuesday, after our tennis lessons, the Roseville Puppet Wagon pulls into the park. Four young adults hop out, gather the kids from the playground and engage them in some sort of warm up activity. This week we sang "Hi. My name is Joe and I work in a button factory," a song I remember from the amazing Mrs. Vriezen, the elementary music teacher in my home town. After the warm-up they climb into the back of their covered pick-up truck and do a short puppet show. The show is different every time and they do shows at several parks, several times a week! Today's show was a short version of a "Nate the Great" novel. After the show, the kids line up at the back of the truck for their chance to make the puppets dance.
