White Noise

I've always been interested in photographing rain, especially in trying to capture something the fleshiness of a good downpour, the worldliness of each drop, its crackle and splatter. So when the old trapdoor fell open again I went to our back door and shot a good few frames, even using the flash, which was useless. It's a dark yard at the best of times, and the day was dark, so most of the shots were crap. But I think this gets near to what I wanted, that grainy quality, the walls overdeveloped, going black in the white noise of rain.
