The Quiet One

The day started dull, but then suddenly the sun came out and with it bees arrived on these yellow flowers (I think the bush is Hypericum, but I am by no means certain). I saw the bees from the kitchen window and when I went out I found the whole thing alive with them. I counted at least ten, but of course they were buzzing from one flower to another all the time. Quite a sight.

And then I found the unassuming Hoverfly, quietly feeding and paying no attention to the noisy monsters with their bulging pollen sacs.
