Forward to the Past

This is a 1958 Austin A35 with some modifications.

The owner proudly took me through them.

The wheels are from a Morris Minor

The front bumper is an old aluminium handrail from the Bournemouth International Centre, and recycled after a refurbishment program.

The radiator is an old Sky TV dish, incorporated into the body

The S shape within the radiator is in the style of John Sprinzel. a German born British racing driver.

The paintwork is in the style of the racing Lotus of Jim Clark, except this car has a double yellow stripe "to stop people parking on it"

Inside is a Mach meter, calibrated from Mach 0.5 to Mach 1.0 so that he can keep track of his speed relative to the Mach scale.

On the back shelf is a skull wearing a helmet emblazoned with the words "The Stig's Grandfather"

The sign on top reads "Best Student pads in the Galaxy" and www.lovelyhotel.co.uk

It is also written on the decal on the side of the vehicle...in Chinese.
