Cardiff City Centre and Castle View
Napier the jewellery repair specialist, in St Mary Street, Cardiff, rang me late yesterday to advise me that my wife's earrings were now ready for collection.
Late morning, I fired up the Smart diesel and made my way there, parking in my secret spot which is a 5 minute walk in to the city centre. I didn't mind coming in to collect the studs (she left early to have her nails done and then to work) as I wanted to get a lens from The Camera Centre.
After getting the repaired studs, I made my way to a vantage point overlooking the capital and got the blip photo. It shows the Millennium Stadium, Castle and quite a bit of the city centre. Luckily the dark rain clouds had parted and I managed to get some nice blue sky and white clouds.
I then hit the Camera Centre in Morgan Arcade to get a specialist lens, before a flying visit to the parents house. On the way home, I popped in to see my mate Tom who travels around in a Caravan with his wife. I think I briefly mentioned their story. The previous two weeks were spent at a Longleat Caravan Park. They said it was fabulous. Next week they are off to a site near Burnham they've used before and like. They've no house and the site fees include all their bills. They say it's like being on permanent holiday. If only my wife wasn't stuck on 5 star hotels in sunny countries!
