HEMP AGRIMONY (Eupatorium cannabinum)

We walked along the brook this morning, the hemp agrimony is just beginning to burst into flower. It is a large plant (1-2 metres) often found in clumps with big fluffy heads of tiny pink flowers.
The hemp part of its name comes from the similarity between its leaves and that of the cannabis plant. The two species are totally unrelated and do not share any other properties.

Sorted beds and tidied house after our visitors. Second dog walk, late afternoon.
A lovely sunny day, although it felt stormy at times. The threatened rain did not appear!
