La Tour - Eiffel de Burley in Wharfedale

Well they've all left Yorkshire and Blimey and have been tootling around France and Belgium today on their bikes, but they seemed to have forgotten something! Mr Prudholme you'll be needing this for the last day of your race, come back and we'll get team Sky to tow it to Paris.

Not satisfied with shouting loudly and constantly in the ears of the riders at the weekend or terrorising sheep by dying them yellow or green or red polka dot patterns, Yorkshire decided to rebuild the Eiffel Tower last week. The scouts and guides of Burley in Wharfedale put up this 8metre high version, just for fun and a bit of publicity as they need a new Scout Hut and wanted to make a bit of an impression I think before raising some money. Looking at this a bit of planning permission and a couple of weekends they capable of building the new hut themselves.
