William Huskisson

was the first person to be killed by a train, which happened to be The Rocket, driven by George Stephenson. He was also an MP and statesman.

This is a photo taken at Haworth Railway station this morning, you can see the name plate of HUSKISSON on the train (KWVR Diesel Shunting loco). I just liked the lines of the open engine sheds against the ladders on a workman's van, and the trains in the distance.
