Portrait of a lady

We had a film crew in at work today. The Museum was taken over by Sky Arts, and the portrait artist of the year competition...

Apart from the occasional... 'mind that object, don't touch that, and please don't lean there' moments, it was really exciting... Nine talented artists took to the set to paint their subject. This was my favourite from the day, a fab picture of Ronnie Ancona...

I was really impressed by the talent and poise of the artists... whenever I make anything I have to have a pot of tea on the go at all times, and there's usually a really big sweary patch in the middle of the project until things get back on track again... These artists were cool and collected despite being observed by the public the camera crew, and nosy people like me...
