Les viandes

Left Edinburgh in pouring rain and still wet when we arrived in Paris, but warm. Got through to the apartment in Le Marais-lovely (although a long trek from the metro and up 3 flights of stairs!). Wandered locally and found fab restaurant that only served grilled meats (mainly enormous ribs of beef) cooked on an open wood fire -like something out of a Tudor kitchen! Simply served with salad and pan fried potatoes. Stunning! What a welcome to France. Won't need to eat again for several weeks!!
