Seabase: Day 1

Met at the train station at 3:00 without having slept at all.

Sleepless bus ride to JFK.

Airport Starbucks for breakfast.

Slept on the plane.

Bus ride to Seabase smelled like strawberry awfulness.

Stopped at a Japanese buffet. It was gross.

Arrived at Seabase and waited for registration.

Learned Seabase rules.

Changed for the swim test. The water was really salty but it was easy and I passed.

Learned to snorkel.

Took showers.

Loaded the boat. Our captain, Captain Charles, is really nice.

Flag raising. I impersonated a manatee. Really well.

Ate dinner. Tasty.

Left on the boat (pictured).

Learned to coil ropes.

Fished for shark bait using canned chicken. Tom caught one and we set it up on a fishing rod to catch a shark. The suspense is killing me.

Played BS.

Going to bed now.

I hate ketchup. It looks gross and it doesn't taste good.
