Fruits of Labour
There is an immense satisfaction when you know that the local supermarket is unlikely to get it's mitts on my money for a while. The fact that I've ploughed more money into my garden this year than ever will mean some years of home grown veggies to offset the cost. Who cares? I love my garden.
It's a cottage garden that disappears in the winter and comes back every spring. The 'weeds' are an integral part of the plan and there's little room for the ones I don't want to grow. The flower beds may be in the same place every year but the size and shape mutates. There are plants that need moving and ones that need uprooting.
I live in a wind tunnel... why do I insist on trying to keep Hollyhocks upright?!
