Contador

Today saw us getting up early again and heading to the Mall for about half five. There were already a few people there but they weren't sure where the finish line was. Having been at Harrogate, we were able to work out where it was, but sadly the VIP/invited guest enclosure was nearer the finish line and we couldn't get as close to it as we had on Saturday. However, we were rewarded for our early rising efforts by being allowed into a small enclosure at about 75m from the line. The capacity was capped at about 365 and we were lucky to be in the front row again.

My plan for today was to get a photo of the leading riders as they whizzed by, but a girl next to me was waving a huge flag in my face (even though I asked her to stop) and I missed my shot - boo. I did however get this photo of Contador shortly after the race and it's probably a lot clearer than the one I would have got had the flag-waver not scuppered my original plan!
