Heron substitute

These beautiful lilies should have been a heron. I was walking the dog in the rain down by the stream when I saw this magnificent heron which showed no inclination to move. I stopped and then I realised that I had forgotten my camera. I returned home, grabbed my camera and hopefully returned to the scene. The heron was still there, I lined up the shot, switched on the camera, to be told that the battery was exhausted!!!! I returned home again still in the rain, grabbed another camera and took these lilies instead. Such is life.
