We're a Couple of Swells!
The Isle of May is about 8km off the east coast of Scotland. The island is owned and managed by Scottish Natural Heritage as a National Nature Reserve. Because it is an important breeding site for seabirds and seals, the island is protected as part of the Forth Islands Protection Area. During the height of the breeding season 200,000 seabirds nest on the island.
L and I enjoyed a spectacular visit today and were thrilled to find so many puffins willing to pose for a photograph.
