Bee movie
This is by no means the best photo I have ever taken - in fact in terms of quality it is probably the worst I have ever blipped. However it has to be used - the highlight of the day.
One of my colleagues was talking to me this morning when she was distracted by a swarm of bees outside the window. We all got up to look. We had been warned a month or so ago not to open the office windows as there was a nest of masonry bees in the wall but we hadn't seen anything at all - until now!
There were thousands of them swarming round in a frenzy - and then gradually they all started to congregate by one of the plastic covers on the factory roof. We were fascinated - they clustered together, hanging from each other under the cover until there were hardly any flying round.
Apparently masonry bees are harmless and from what we googled it looked like this might be their last mad swarm before they died off. We sought advice from our environmental expert and Rentokil were called just to make sure.
So not a lot of work got done!
