Taking a break
Oh it was so lovely waking up to our new carpets today! Thankfully we'd slept with a couple of windows open and the fumes had dissipated a bit, so we didn't feel too odd today. Spent pretty much all day unpacking stuff and reinstating our dining room in particular. We took a short break before lunchtime and walked over to Greenwich Park for some fresh air. I was struck by the sheer number of cranes on the horizon around St Paul's Cathedral. Someone once told me you can tell the health of a city's economy by the number of cranes in it; London's economy's looking pretty healthy, I'd say!
I cooked us a tasty tea of ginger glazed salmon with a mango and cucumber salsa, and we finally got to sit in our beautiful dining room for the first time in a few months. Happy!
