We're in Stonehouse, Glos, apparently time travelling. This this book was seen on the piano at the community centre, open at the sea shanties page.

Hasn't anyone told the community singers, whoever they are, that slavery is over? (I mean, the plantation sort, not the modern type).

I know Gloucestershire is old fashioned, but this is so nineteenth century, never mind the last one.
