Let the Celebration Begin

It is the Eve of Mr S's birthday and we decided to welcome him into the world with a toast at a new craft beer house that recently opened downtown. A great and changing variety of beers and entertaining personnel make for a most comfortable happy hour. You are only seeing what's on tap--over to the left out of view are cold cases full of a hundred exotic brews from around the world, with very high pricetags. The Ristretto Cosmic Black Lager ("an espresso and chocolate infused masterpiece") on tap has been tested and heartily approved by our team. The five ounce taster is quite enough for me, although I had a few little samples of a couple other varieties before we went across the street to the Farmers' Market, picked up a half rack of rotisseried ribs and some yummy roasted potatoes and headed home. This birthday thing is set to go on for a few days.
